Luis and Tina have been training and working with dogs and their owners for well over 50 years combined. Both have participated in dog sports with their own dogs (Border Collies, Airedale Terriers, Welsh Terriers) and encourage their clients to have fun with their dogs in a variety of ways. They currently have two Border Collies to keep them very busy! Luis and Tina are members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and several local and national dog clubs. Through the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers, a national organization, they have earned the designation of Certified Pet Dog Trainers (CPDT). They have also been approved by the American Kennel Club as Canine Good Citizen Test Evaluators.
Tina is a graduate of the Dog Agility Instructor Certification Course (White Mountain Agility School; New Hampshire) and has assisted with the Instructor Training Course and Advanced Instructor Training Course (Dogs of Course at Sue Sternberg’s Rondout Valley Kennels; New York). Luis is a graduate of the Instructor Training Course (New York) and has been a professional handler and groomer for many years. Both Tina and Luis have conducted dog training classes at the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, MA. Both are involved in continuing education courses in behavior and training each year. Additionally. Tina holds a Masters Degree in Education from Northeastern University. Both Tina and Luis have been leading classes for many years – over 30!
