I lie belly-up
Today I sniffed
I sound the alarm!
I sound the alarm!
How do I love thee?
My human is home!
.I Hate my choke
chain
Sleeping here, my
chin
Look in my eyes and
The cat is not all
bad --
Dig under the
fence--why?
I am your best
friend,
What are you doing RIGHT NOW? Take your dog out for a walk or a game of ball!
Remembering Sadie......

Sadie came to me when Tucker was 9 months old. (Pictures above show Tucker at about 1 ½.) As I write this he’s now 16 years old so he has never known life without her. She was the first dog I had as an adult and I figured that, especially because she was a Border Collie, I’d better get her into a training class right away! The rest is history. It’s because of her that I became involved with dogs, training, our business, etc. I owe all I’ve learned and experienced in that regard to her. We learned everything together as partners and that’s what made it all so much fun. She was always up for a game of any kind; smart as could be and a smarty-pants, too. She was talented in many ways. We competed in obedience and agility and she was multi-titled in those areas. We also dabbled in herding and tracking for a while. Before moving to Mass. she was a therapy dog at a brain trauma center and lead-dog on a drill team. She loved to do tricks and I swear that she was the one who taught Ruby how to roll over! But her best talents were being sweet and patient and persistent, being Tuck’s best buddy all through his childhood, being my best friend and partner through all kinds of crazy things in my life…… She was my sweet, sweet, Sadie. I loved her with all my heart. Think a happy thought of her tonight. Give your own buddies an extra hug. ~Tina (spring 2006) *******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

RUBY of Glencar'n
MX, MXJ, CDX, CGC, TDI, OCX, O-VCCX
Darling Ruby has flown to heaven. My happy, sweet girl is no longer tired or in pain. My heart is broken. But I know she is again delighting in chasing a tennis ball and running around an agility course. She is rolling in the grass and throwing stuffed toys in the air. She is doing all the things she always loved. I will miss her winning smile, work ethic and loving demeanor.
It’s difficult to lose any pet,
but I find it especially hard to lose Rubes as she was my partner in obedience
and agility competition for so many years. We formed a special bond working so
intensely together. The highlight of our endeavors was qualifying for and
competing in the AKC National Agility Championships in 2000. What a thrill!
But she was, of course, a true sweetheart for our family and she leaves a big
hole. We’ll miss her very deeply. ~Tina (January 2010) *******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
